I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
